Our goal at Complete K9 training is to make training fun for both the owner and the dog. By establishing communication, we reinforce any and all behaviours we find desirable through play, games, rewards and affection.
Only once the dog has an understanding of what we are asking and what is expected, we can then hold the dog accountable.
"Dogs and humans repeat behaviours that are followed by reinforcement and decrease behaviours that result in punishment"- Trisha Stewart.

Most dog training is about getting to the root cause of behavioural issues and creating a plan that builds your dog’s confidence, emotional stability, and overall quality of life. A dog trainer (like CK9T) can help with a wide range of challenges such as puppy training, obedience, reactivity, anxiety, and more.
If your dog’s behaviour is severe enough that medication may be required, a Veterinary Behaviourist is the right professional to consult.
In many cases, training and veterinary support work best hand-in-hand to give your dog the strongest chance of success.
-
Reactivity is best worked on in a calm, controlled environment where both you and your dog can learn without added pressure. At CK9T, we recommend starting with private consultations at our Bell Park training facility. This allows us to uncover the root cause of your dog’s behaviour, create a tailored training plan, and give you practical tools to manage and improve reactivity.
Once you and your dog have built solid foundations through private sessions, you may then be able to progress into group classes when the time is right and dog assessments have been passed. This step-by-step approach ensures safety, consistency, and long-term success.

Our Foundations Course
Our Foundations Course is designed to give you and your dog the strongest possible start. It begins with a private consult to set clear foundations, followed by three group classes where we build on those skills in a supportive environment. Our Weekly Group Classes
Weekly group classes are for clients who have already completed a private consult or the Foundations Course. It’s important not to throw you or your dog in the deep end, without the right foundations, group classes can feel overwhelming and unfair. By ensuring the basics are in place first, we can create a safe, enjoyable space to practise around other dogs, learn new skills, and have some fun together.
